I am incredibly proud to live in Minneapolis. My wife Susie and I live west of Cedar Lake in Bryn Mawr and have been part of Ward 7 since 1998. I have been a residential realtor for 25 years and own my own brokerage called Uptown Realty. I have been very active in the DFL party, having held a number of positions including senate district chair, congressional district chair and state Party Affairs Director, all in service of building a progressive community throughout our city and state.

I’m really excited about the opportunity to serve Ward 7 and Minneapolis. We have plenty of issues to tackle, and real opportunities to strengthen and improve our city. I’m running for City Council because our city needs thoughtful, reliable, and pragmatic problem solvers. Where we have problems and crises, we also have opportunities. We need to take a creative approach to addressing our biggest issues and that is what I have built my political activism and business career doing.

I have a reputation as an optimistic and collaborative person, and I find the divisions between us are often less substantial than they appear. I will bring congeniality into our politics and work hard, even with people I might disagree with on policy or approach.

Serving on City Council is no small undertaking, and I don’t have all the answers. I will always seek to do the most good for the greatest number of people. I’d like to be your voice at City Hall. Together we can do tremendous things.
